The Whalesbone: Elgin Street

The goal of this project was to redesign the front of the restaurant to allow for more seating and prep area.  Changing the entryway into the restaurant allowed a previously under-utilized space develop into a cozy secondary seating and bar area at the front of the restaurant.

Repeating the rustic tavern feel was key to developing this space. A brick mural, live edge shelving and a new custom steel support post tied the existing restaurant into the new space.

Large garage door windows with suspended custom lighting draws the outside in.  Walnut stained banquet seating and a redesigned bar and shucking station has transformed the front of the restaurant.
