Not many people can say they live where they work, have a hip wine bar/bistro in their kitchen and live next door to a local music legend.
Ulya Jensen can.
Three years ago, the Ottawa designer bought a small two-bedroom in Hintonburg, an up-and-coming neighbourhood that straddles the east end of Wellington Street West. Built in 1952, the two-storey had been extensively updated by the previous owners — new windows, two full bathrooms with glass showers, an open living room and rustic birch floors throughout — but it was the large office with a private side entrance anchoring the main level that won Jensen over.
