Urbandale hired Ottawa interior designer Ulya Jensen to give each model its own personality and charm.

The Creekside, which doubles as the sales centre, is a one-bedroom-plus-den decorated in fresh green tones for a clean, inviting style that includes custom floor-to-ceiling curtains and apple green kitchen chairs. Like all the floor plans, the master bedroom is on the main floor and includes a walk-in closet and ensuite.

The Brookstone II, meanwhile, was decorated for the hip, modern couple with cool tones of greys, as shown in the polished porcelain tile facade on the basement gas fireplace. This two-bedroom-plus-den with loft includes a kitchen pantry, main-floor laundry and a shower with a seat.

In between these two floor plans is the Meadowview, a 1,318-square-foot one-bedroom-plus-den with a 716-square-foot finished basement. For Jensen, who was in charge of all furnishings and window treatments, this model was her favourite because she incorporated some of her personal taste, which translates into a modern, coastal vibe, with fresh cream tones and pops of turquoise and teal.
